Mira Davida is a Hungarian-born creative professional and glass artist based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Working from her studio, she creates handmade, fine-quality glass objects that range from sculptural artworks to interior design pieces and functional objects. Her work explores the delicate intersection between nature and the surreal—crafting glass sculptures inspired by natural forms, imagined creatures, and dreamlike realities.

Thematically, her work contemplates nature as both material and muse, while also elevating the spiritual dimension of artistic creation. As a materially specialized artist, Mira is committed to preserving the heritage of glassmaking and its cultural significance, infusing tradition with contemporary relevance.

Mira's primary technique is flameworking and works with the material of borosilicate glass.

Flameworking is the craft of shaping molten glass with a hand torch at 1200°C, a process that requires both precision and presence. Borosilicate is a type of temperature resistant glass, that allows longer work-time for glass without it shattering or forming tensions and cracks in the glass.

Trained in Hungary, Jerusalem, the Czech Republic, the USA, and most recently in Germany, she also combines techniques like cast glass and glassblowing to expand her material language. Her art often reflects the contrasts she observes and experiences—fragility and strength, beauty and danger, chaos and control.
